Mrs. Bennie Dickson

Bennie Dickson was born in Kathie, Louisiana March 19, 1917, to Scott Dickson and Lucie Gaston Dickson. She was preceded in death by both parents and ten siblings (Pickens, Rasberry). She was the youngest of them all. Her son, Sylvester Roland, granddaughter, Vesta Lee Anderson (Roland), grandson-in-law, Earl Anderson great-grandson, Leland Anderson preceded her in death as well.
She professed her belief in Christ at Flower Hill Baptist Church in Keatchie, Louisiana as a teenager. Bennie was a faithful member of Morning Star Baptist Church before becoming sick and shut in.
The great-grandchildren will always remember her caring for us, bringing us up in the church, singing and cooking for us with all the love she had in her.
During her lifetime, Bennie was a hard worker and was glad to help her family, friends and church members. She loved to fellowship with her church family.
"Big mama" will be deeply missed by: her great-grandchildren, David (Meredith), Kim, Eric and Earl; daughter-in-law, Valadeane Roland of Los Angeles, California; twenty great-great-grandchildren nieces and nephews, Mary Lee Stephens, Debra Griffen, Minie Carter, Cynthia Rasberry, Jessie Perkins, Cortez Rasberry of TX, Arthur Rasberry of LA, Wonda Fae Rasberry, Rudolph Rasberry, Robert Rasberry of Marshall, TX, James Rasberry of Shreveport, LA and Fred Rasberry of Atlanta and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Aubrey Ann Clark

Mrs. Aubrey Ann Clark was born January 15, 1962, in Kansas City, Missouri to Mr. William A. Clark Sr. and Mrs. Joan P. Clark. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rae Lee Phillips
She attended Greenwood Elementary, Lincoln Jr. High Schools and graduated from Lincoln High School class of 1980. Aubrey held various jobs with H & R. Block, Grady's Cleaners and Sears and Roebuck in Columbus, Ohio until her health failed.
She was a member of Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ under the leadership of Elder Daniel Chavis Jr. Upon relocating to Columbus, Ohio, she joined Deliverance Church of God Apostolic under the leadership of Bishop Henry Page.
In 1985, she married Robert H. Pollard and to this union two children, LaSonya and Bobbiann were born. The marriage was later dissolved.
Mrs. Aubrey Ann Clark departed this life on Monday, January 4, 2010, to her new home, Heaven's Highway.
Aubrey will be greatly missed. She had her way about always planning family events. She loved to cook, dance and entertain. She loved spending time with her grandson, Danye and other family members.
When God confirmed Aubrey's reservation she left: two daughters, LaSonya and Bobbiann Pollard; grandson, Danye Davis all of Columbus, OH; her parents, Joan and William Clark, Sr.; six brothers, Milton Phillips, David Clark, Samuel Phillips (Betty), Albert Clark (Ima), Standford Phillips (Valerie) and Anthony Clark; four sisters, Beverly Bruce (William), Angie Baker, Lyvette Clark McDonald (Juan) and Rhonda Clark all of Kansas City, MO; grandmother, Mildred Savage of Dallas, TX and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friend. Mr. Randy L. Wilson

Randy Leotis Wilson was born August 17, 1988, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was loved by his parents Debbie Sherman, Micheal Sherman and Abel Hopkins. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Albert and Annie Anderson, great-grandfather, Allen Phillips, grandfather, Robert Fisher and a cousin, Nelson Hopkins, Jr.
He attended Central High School and later transferred to Hickman Mills High School. He had also worked for the Hickman Mills School District. He obtained his commercial drivers permit and was currently enrolled in truck driving school.
At the age of 16, Randy gave his life to Christ and was baptized. He became a member of the Roswell Church of Christ where he attended with his grandparents, Sylvester and Nancy Wilson.
As a young boy Randy loved to play basketball, video games and entertaining his younger brothers. He could make you laugh uncontrollably with his impersonations or just telling funny stories. He also liked to create art and some of his work was displayed at Lee A. Tolbert Academy and Children Mercy Hospital. He completed and designed the business sign to Pardon Parole Negotiations LLC located on 12th Street. Although, he was plagued with asthma, he never let it stop him from enjoying life.
Randy L. Wilson departed this life on Saturday, January 9, 2010, in Kansas City, Missouri.

Gregory G. Looney was born October 3, 1959, in Kansas City, Kansas to the union of William West and Carol Looney West. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harold Looney, mother, Carol T. Looney West and a nephew, Wilford C. Quinn Jr.
He was a baptist. Gregory attended school in Kansas City, Kansas. He was employed as a presser at 90 Minute Dry Cleaners.
Gregory was married to Debra Looney and to this union one daughter, Kiera was born.
Gregory G. Looney departed this earthly life on Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

Clinton “Chuckie” “Cool Breeze” Cason was born May 24, 1967, to Sylvia Cason and Clifford Towner, Jr. He received his formal education in the Kansas City Missouri Public School District, graduating from Lincoln Academy in 1985.
“Chuck” was a person who never met a stranger. He was an accomplished poet and dedicated his life to working with children. As a teen, he worked at the Thornberry Boys and Girls Club. He later worked at the Niles Home for children and ended his career at the Gillis Home for Children when his health failed.
He was a lifelong member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church and was preparing to enter the ministry before becoming ill. He was known for giving sermons that reached today’s youth as well as his religious rap songs.
Clinton J. Cason passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
“Chuck” leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 9 years, Vandolon of the home; stepchildren, Anayeshia, Aviance and Anthony Roland; his mother, Sylvia Cason-Brown (Dawn) all of Kansas City, MO; father, Clifford Towner (Velma) of San Diego, California; sister, Cynthia Byrd (Antonyo) of Kansas City, MO; nephews Antonyo Byrd II and Days’mond Redmond; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

Mrs. Georgia M. Foster

Georgia M. Foster was born July 12, 1931, to the union of Irene Sterling-Williams and Bill Williams Jr. in Flora, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two sisters and her husband, George Foster.
She received her formal education in Flora, Mississippi. She later moved to Kansas City, Missouri. Georgia was a modest person that worked in private homes, taking great pride in her work for over twenty years.
Georgia was a long time member of the Calvary Chapel Church of the Lord Jesus Christ where she remained until her passing. She faithfully served in a variety of ministries and capacities until her health began to fail.She was united in holy matrimony to George Foster on August 11, 1980.
Our beloved sister, aunt and friend made the transition from labor to reward on Monday, January 11, 2010, at Kindred Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Georgia will be greatly missed. She will always be remembered for her endless love to her family and being a faithful servant for the Lord.
She leaves to mourn: one sister, Mrs. Maggie Williams of Jackson, Mississippi as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, friends and the Calvary Chapel Church of the Lord Jesus Christ Family.

She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of New Home C. O. G. I. C. Church. She was also an evangelist and home maker.

Mrs. Marcie B. Gardner

Macie Bell Gardner, daughter of the late Laura Canady-Bobo and Amos Ross was born May 3, 1925, in Cleveland, Arkansas. She was united in marriage to the late Esco Gardner on December 24, 1941, and they enjoyed 38 wonderful years. To this loving union was born four sons, Robert (deceased), Richard, Johnny and Alan.
She accepted Christ at an early age and for most of her life was an active and faithful member of Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church where she served in a variety of ministries. She passionately served the Lord in whatever capacity called upon, she most loved to sing. As a longtime member of the Bethesda Church choir was often called on to lead songs and to sing solos. She was also a longtime member of the Midwest District Choir and participated in numerous mass choirs for special events and at the National Baptist Convention.
Macie was a homemaker and also worked parttime outside the home assisting other families. She had a long standing relationship with the West family where she assisted Mrs. Lacy West for over 35 years. Her relationship with the West's blossomed into a lifelong friendship that endured long after her retirement.
Macie was an accomplished cook and loved to cook for family and friends. She was especially appreciated for her desserts: Sweet Potato Pies, German Chocolate cakes and Lemon Meringue pies. She enjoyed preparing large spreads during the holidays.
Macie loved to travel and often traveled with longtime friends and family. Her involvement in the National Baptist Convention gave her the opportunity to travel from Florida to Hawaii. She especially enjoyed the fellowship of her extended family through yearly attendance at the Canady-Coverson family reunion.
Macie Bell Gardner went from labor to reward on Friday, January 15, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
She leaves to cherish her memory a family that loves her dearly: three sons, Richard Gardner (Renee) of Piedmont, Oklahoma, Johnny Gardner (Donna) of Overland Park, Kansas and Alan Gardner (Joy) of Flemington, New Jersey; daughter-in-law, Earnestine Gardner of Lee's Summit, Missouri; sister, Maxine Bennett (Frank); brother, Tony Ross both of Kansas City, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Richard, Robert, Anthony, Michael, John Jr., Kyle, Sean, Mark, Laura Gardner and Erin Gardner-Jensen; nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and lifelong friends.

Ms. Hazel Rowan ninety departed this life at Monterey Park Nursing Home in Independence, Missouri of natural causes on Thursday, January 21, 2010. She lived a long and happy life.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Gwendolyn Murphy of Kansas City, Missouri; four grandchildren, George C. Murphy IV, Gia M. Murray, Michael D. Murphy and Myron D. Murphy; twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Saundra Renee Johnson was born August 10, 1959, in Kansas City, Missouri to William Johnson Sr. and Anna Ware Johnson. Both parents and two sisters preceded her in death.
She received her education in Kansas City, Missouri School District. She was a member of El Shaddai. Saundra was very ambitious and love to drive. She drove a bus for KCI Airport and graduated from a local truck driving school, receiving her CDL licenses to drive 18-wheelers.
Saundra was married to Ernest Smith Jr. To this union two children were born. She was such a loving person. All who knew her loved her. As a young lady, Saundra enjoyed creative dance. She was a member of the dance group DMS X2. The group included her sisters, Delores Strickland, Denice Bolin, Marilyn Taylor, the late Margaret Taylor and Shelia Johnson.
Saundra also had a great love for children, especially her granddaughter and her "boopies", great nieces and nephews. They always loved to hang out.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory: one son, Ernest P. Smith Jr.; daughter, Kyetta Joi Smith-Perkins (Isiah); grandchildren, Jazmine Davis and Mariah Powell; sister, Shelia Johnson; brother, William Johnson all of Kansas City, Missouri; special brothers, Robert Barrett and Carl Smith; uncle, Leonard Johnson (June); aunt, Theresa Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, nephews and many cousins andfriends.
