Sarah Jane Wheeler, was born February 23, 1940, to the union of Bennie F. and Cleopatra Watson Wheeler. She was one of 13 children and was preceded in death by three brothers, Bennie F., Jr., Eugene and Louis Jackson; four sisters, Minnie Pearl, Leila Jean, Carrie Virginia and Cleopatra Wheeler.

Sarah was lovingly called "Janie" by her family and friends. She attended school in the Kansas City Missouri Public School District at R. T. Coles and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1958.

She worked at H & R Block, Western Electric, Jones Department Stores, St. Joseph Hospital and Menorah Hospital. "Janie" loved to bake Sweet Potato pies, especially for the Christmas Holidays; she took joy in sharing them with others. She enjoyed reading, shopping and spending quality time with family and friends.

Mrs. Burnes departed this earthly life on Saturday, October 1, 2011, at North Kansas City Hospital.

She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory: two sons, Cleophaus D. Burnes (June) and Bennie Burnes; daughter, Qiana Burnes; three brothers, Clarence Wheeler and William "Bill" Wheeler all of Kansas City, Missouri; and Franklin Wheeler of Ashburn, Virginia; one sister, Elmer Hill of Los Angeles, California; two grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Services for Mrs. Burnes will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday (today) October 7, 2011, at Friendship Baptist Church (A Congregation of Jesus Christ) with Pastor James A. Terrance, Jr. officiating. Burial in XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until service time Friday at the church.

                                                                                   Mrs. Clarissa Mae Allen

Clarissa Mae Allen departed this life on Saturday, October 1, 2011. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and one brother. She was born April 13, 1931 in Liberty, Missouri. She worked for thirty years as an LPN at the old Menorah Medical Center on 50th and Troost.

She is survived y eight sons, Walter Wills (Ella) of Corona, California, George Allen, Jr., Richard Allen, Donald Allen (Cynthia), Stuart Allen (Cynthia), John Allen (Sheila), Jacque Allen (Vera) and Robert Allen (Audrey) all of Kansas City, Missouri; four daughters, Judith Jones (Ronald), Ruth Stricklin (Kermit) of Phoenix, Arizona, Sherrie Allen (special friend, Freddie Malone and Terrie Allen (special friend, Harold Malone) all of Kansas City, Missouri; three sisters, Maxine Patterson (Melvin) of Topeka, Kansas, Mona Ware, Cindy Townsend (Howard) of Kansas City, Missouri; a special godson, Willie Jones of Kansas City, Missouri; twenty six grandchildren; twenty eight great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services for Mrs. Allen will held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 8, 2011, at Palestine Missionary Baptist Church of Jesus Christ with Pastor Leonard P. Butler, Jr. officiating. Burial in XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 8:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at the church.

                                                                                   Mr. Fred W. Tardey

Fred Wulu Tardey was born in Ziah Town Konobo Statutory District, Grand Gedeh County Republic of Liberia February 3, 1992, onto the union of Mr. Philip Tardey and Ms. Lucy D. Gowah. Fred and family migrated to the Ivory Coast and settle in Guiglo Region when he was just about 11 years of age.

In the year 2003, Fred and his older brother, Alvin Tardey migrated to the United States and settle in Roanoke, Virginia. In 2007, Fred Tardey then moved to Kansas City, Missouri with Mr. & Mrs. Alvin Tardey together with their two kids, Alvin Tardey Jr. and Christan Tardey. To join their uncle Mr. Chea Tardey and his wife Mrs. Munah S. Tardey.

Fred started elementary school in Guiglo Region, la Cote D’Ivoire at the age of six (6) and continue middle school in Roanoke, Virginia at Woodrow Wilson (2003- 2007). Fred moved to Kansas City, Missouri with his big brother, Alvin Tardey along with Alvin’s wife and children where he was enrolled at Minnetonka High School from (2007-2008) and then transferred to Oak Park High School (2008-2011) in North Kansas City, Missouri, where he graduated in May, 2011, with honors.

Fred enjoyed playing soccer, listening to music and doing some acting works. Fred’s dream was to become a musician, a designer, and an actor. He was a great caretaker of his three nephews, Alvin Tardey Jr., Christan, and Nyenzee Tardey. Fred Tardey departed this world on Saturday, October 8, 2011, at 4:00 P.M. in Grand Island, Nebraska. He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory: uncle, Chea Tardey, uncle, Shad D. Deah, Richard Tardey, Solomon N. Tardey, Alvin Tardey, Alexander K. Tardey, Ciah M. Tardey, Ject D. Tardey, Patience Tardey, Felecia B. Suzar and sister, Munah Tardey the wife of uncle, Chea Tardey who is playing the good role model as a mother to the entire Tardey family in the United states of America and back home in Liberia. Good Bye Fred you will be greatly missed by your love ones. Go and rest in prefect peace.

Services for Mr. Tardey will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 29, 2011, at Revival of Hope Ministries 6002 Anderson K.C., MO with Rev. Jonathan K. Wright officiating. Burial in Blue Ridge Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at the church.

                                                                                   Mr. Mark A. Bogart

Mr. Mark Anthony Bogart was born April 29, 1966, in Fort City, Arkansas to Ethel Lynch and Andrew Bogart. They later relocated to Kansas City, Missouri where Mark spent the remainder of his life. Mark's formal education included graduating from East High School in 1984, followed by attending Barber College at Missouri School of Barbering & Hairstyling, which he graduated in 1994.Following his education, Mark held several positions of employment, including Italian Gardens, Houston's Restaurant, Over Night Trucking and Jazzy Cuts. Mark's health began to take a turn for the worst, which limited his ability to work, however that did not stop Mark from cutting hair.Mark enjoyed many hobbies, including skating, church, hanging with family and friends, playing with children, two stepping in which we all knew him as the "two-stepping king" but his mot pleasurable hobby was FISHING. Mark could sit at the lake for hours fishing and not catch a single fish but that was alright with him.He found peace being next to the water.Mark Anthony Bogart departed this life on Sunday, October 9, 2011.He leaves to cherish his memory: three lovely children, Amanda R Bogart, Marc A. Bogart, Jr. and Maurice A. Bogart; mother, Ethel Lynch; father, Andrew Bogart; his former wife and mother of three children, Anabelle Castillo; siblings, Shirley Levy (A.C. Levy), Thelma Hanson, Andrew Bogart, Jr. (Bertha), Vanessa Nichols (Kevin), Darwin Bogart, Terrance Fuller and Albert Fuller and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.Services for Mr. Bogart will be held 12:00 Noon Saturday, October 15, 2011, at Bales Temple C.O.G.I.C. with Pastor Lee Wooden officiating.
